My first week

Well, I've now been with my new Mummy and Daddy for a WHOLE week. It's been a pretty busy one.

The week started on 16th February 2015 and on Monday we went to something called a Garden Centre, it was a funny kind of garden, not at all like our garden! Mummy carried me round in a bag she got from Auntie Carolyn's shop. People thought I was very cute and made lots of fuss of me - I don't blame them, I AM very cute! I got my first dog chew, they're nice and I've buried it in my special storage bed. It was my first outing in the car and I was very tired when we got home.

On Tuesday I had to go back to the vet again. Nice Maddie and Nice Lucy were there but it was not fun at all. I had to have microchip injected into my back by Lucy the vet - it was horrid and I squealed a lot. Everyone told me I was very brave, which, of course, I was!

Mummy measured me today. My legs are 17cm long and from my neck to my tail is 28cm. My ear is 7cm long but I haven't stood still long enough yet to measure my height!

On Wednesday I spent a lot of time in the garden trying to eat the bread which Mummy had put out for the birds, I can't believe she wouldn't let me, how mean. We also went for a "walk" round the block. It is sooo annoying that I can only go out in the garden and not walk on the ground like the other dogs. I can't wait till I am a bit older, it's another two weeks apparently.

Thursday was a very wet day, we didn't go out anywhere but I kept making Daddy go on the garden to play with me - he's such a wimp, he needed an umbrella, isn't skin waterproof. It was really good being dried with a big towel so we went out lots, I am sure Daddy didn't mind really! The rain did stop for a bit and I was really helpful to Daddy when he was clearing the patio.

On Friday we went to the town centre, there were shops there and lots of people to smile at me. I even had my first walk outside, only down the side of the church but it was outside and I was very good and had a pee. I am sure God wouldn't mind as I was rather desperate as we'd been out for a while. We visited Auntie Jules in her shop and everyone liked me, although the lady selling the clothes gave me  a funny look as Mummy sneaked me past!

After that we went to something called a Book Fair. There was a whole box of doggie books and Mummy took ages looking through them. There were absolutely LOADS of wrinkly people there to stroke and and say how lovely I am! One man even took my photo - I am such a star!

This week, Mummy and Daddy bought me a nice thing to store my toys in. They laughed a lot because when I couldn't decide which ones to play with I just got in with all of them. It's a very nice place to be.

I am getting a bit better about sleeping through the night, although I am bursting for a pee at least once a night and like getting up REALLY early! I am also getting better at telling Mummy and I Daddy I need to go in the garden but it is sooo difficult to get their attention in time but I do try to use the paper by the patio door!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Gosh, it seems I have a lot of people who want to visit me. Yesterday, Mummy was doing something baking. It was quite fun to keep interrupting her! Then she took me for a "walk" outside and I met her neighbours. It's quite annoying that I can't go on the ground at the moment but I don't think it will be too long before I can go for proper walks.

Lots of people came to visit me. My Auntie Carolyn and my Granny Joanie came for lunch. Auntie Carolyn brought me lots of treats and toys and a beautiful yellow jumper, I look so cool in it.

They stayed all afternoon and Emma came with Louis and Elliot and they took me in the garden for lots of playing. I was very tired indeed but still managed to wake up in time for bedtime!!

Happy Valentines Day!

Yesterday was a very busy day. Firstly, I had to have something called a collar round my neck. It was a bit annoying at first but I am so grown up I didn't make much of a fuss.

Mummy told me I had to go somewhere called The Vet for An Injection. It was quite cold so Mummy put a very smart tartan coat on me.

I thought it might be fun and it looked hopeful at first as a lady called Maddie was very pleased to see me. Then we went into a room with a nice lady called Lucy. She put me in a tray and told me I weigh 2.5 kilos which, apparently, is good. Although she smiled a lot, she was REALLY weird. She felt me all over and she put a horrid cold circle on my chest, THEN she did something with my bottom. To cap it all she stuck a needle in me. Then she gave me a treat which was nice but then a second one with a hard white thing in which I ate very nicely but everyone laughed and said I was stupid...humph! There was a dog the size of an elephant there. It was a police dog, if I was a baddie it would certainly stop me in my tracks, it was very scary!

We then went to visit some people called Margaret and Mike in the library. The other lady there looked a bit annoyed - apparently dogs are not supposed to be in the library. Mummy said she had no sense of humour! Tracy in the pet shop was much nicer she was very pleased to meet me and made a big fuss of me.

I learnt a very valuable lesson when we came home. The patio door has to be open before I run through it - ouch!! Daddy was really laughing at me, how mean!

In the evening two lots of neighbours came to visit me, all telling me how gorgeous I am. Obviously I know this but it's nice of then to keep telling me! Here is my Valentines Day photo to prove it!

My first day

MY NEW HOME

Hello, I am Teddy Pope Shrosbree. I was born on 7th December 2014 and I have just come to live in Langley Vale with my new mummy and daddy.

My doggy daddy is a black toy poodle and my doggy mummy is a cross between a Lakeland, a Paterdale and a Border terrier.

I arrived in my new home on 12th February 2015 and got on with exploring. I was very surprised by the doggie in the kitchen door who wouldn't play and the other one in that shiny wardrobe in the bedroom, although I even licked his nose nothing happened!

I had some trouble sleeping last night as I missed my doggy mummy and my sisters but my new mummy and daddy didn't seem to mind too much getting up for me, although I don't think daddy was too pleased to stand in a puddle I'd left on the floor - sorry, I was really bursting! It was really nice too have something called a hot bag to cuddle up to.

Today mummy put something round my neck. She said it's called a collar and I HAVE to wear it. It itched a bit but I soon forgot about it as I have lots of toys. Later I have to go to somewhere called The Vet and have something called An Injection. I hope it will be fun!
